Flag Day Ceremony
at the Robinson House

June 14, 2011

Boy Scouts from Troop 33, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, retired the old flags and raised a new American flag and a new Delaware flag, both weather resistant.

A memorial dedication for Claymont Lions member, Virgil Elder Frey, who passed away last fall was conducted. The Claymont Lions Club, under Virgil's leadership, has donated flags to the House for the last seven years. Vernalee Frey, Virgil's widow, was present for the ceremony.

Eagle Scout and Claymont Lions Club member, Thomas Kovach, who is also President of New Castle County Council, was Master of Ceremonies.

Members from the Naamans Heritage Association, Claymont Historical Society, Claymont Lions, and community representatives were in attendance.
